My name is Mike Carrozzo, director of Competitive Edge Football Camps. In a few short weeks you will be receiving detailed information by mail on our 2005, low-cost, 3 day, full contact/full gear, team football camps taking place this summer.
This is our 4th year running these camps. We are anticipating having camps in Sacramento (Cherry Island Sports Complex), Concord area, Hayward (Alden E Oliver Sports Complex), San Jose (San Jose City College), Cupertino (Deanza College) and Morgan Hill(Morgan Hill Sports Complex). There will be 6 camps in all. Most of the coaches hired that work our camps are from local colleges, including UC Berkeley, Stanford, San Jose St, Menlo College, SJ City College, Gavilan College, Deanza College, Cal Poly SLO, Chabot College and many more. As this is our first time in the Sacramento area, we hope to attract many Sac area college coaches as well.
Every camp participant receives a Camp T-shirt, a $25,000 supplemental medical insurance policy, and an outstanding team building experience. Every coach will receive a camp book detailing the entire 3 days, including each team you will be scrimmaging and what they run offensively and defensively. For local teams, our camps start at 2 pm on weekdays so that all summer school athletes can attend. Our camps include individual technique training for offensive and defensive positions (non-scheme specific), 7 on 7 periods, lineman 1 on 1 periods, team scrimmage periods and much more. Camp costs $145/player if less than 40 players, $135/player if your team brings 40 players or more. Each camp has a full staff of certified trainers. Camp awards are given out daily.
We welcome teams from out of the areas listed above and will help with arrangements at local hotels and camp grounds (negotiations are taking place currently to assure reasonably priced accommodations with complete breakfast each morning and team meeting rooms). In the meantime, if you have any questions on what we do, or would like to receive a free promotional video tape of last years camps, please respond to this email with your address and contact information and a tape will be sent out immediately. For those many coaches who are familiar with our camps and would like us to hold a slot for their team at the 2005 camps, please let us know asap.
